Update News 6/24/2024 through 6/30/2024

  1. Due to the transition of our priests, which occurs on Monday, July 1st, the Mass for this Monday will be the same, but there will be no evening confession after the 6:30 PM Spanish Mass.  This is to give our incoming priests time to rest and to move into their new living quarters.
  1. In observance of Independence Day, we will only have the 8:30 AM Mass on Thursday, July 4th.  The following day, Friday, July 05, we have only 8:30 AM Mass in English and 6:30 PM Mass in Vietnamese. There will be adoration after the 8:30 AM, but no confession.  Our parish office will be closed on Thursday, July 4th, and Friday, July 5th.  We will re-open on Sunday, July 7th.  
  1. Please welcome Father Nicolaus Thai from St Martin De Porres Church, Father Luis Segura, from St. Joseph Church, and sister Anh Tram Tran from the Lovers of the Holy Cross of Nha Trang to our spiritual family.  A reception hosted by the community/ministries is prepared to welcome them.  It will be on Sunday, July 7th after the 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 4 p.m. Masses by the Church patio.  This is your chance to meet and greet them to our family.
  1. Our Parish office has an opening for a part-time office clerk. Applicants should be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing and be bi-lingual in Spanish/English. Duties include: greeting parishioners, answering phones, updating records, making appointments, offering advice and program information, maintaining the premises clean and organized, and solving various problems. Other duties as assigned. $16/hour pay rate (may work on weekends as required). Send your resume to tma@stpolycarp.org.
  1. Registration is now open for First Communion Classes. We also have ongoing faith Formation for those who have already received their First Communion. If you or someone you know needs to complete two or more sacraments, please ask us about our OCIA program. All applications are available in the Parish office. 
  2. Want to help our Fiesta 2024?  We need donations of the following items, and you can bring them to the parish office during business hours:  canned soda (no glass); bottled water (16.9 oz no glass); plastic forks, spoons, and knives; to-go containers; napkins; 8.5″ paper plates.  Thanks in advance for your support.
