Church Closed Until Evacuation & Road Closures are Lifted

The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) and Orange County Sheriff’s Department have reissued an emergency evacuation order on Friday morning, May 22, 2026, for areas in Stanton, Garden Grove, Cypress, Buena Park, and Westminster due to a chemical tank failure at an aerospace facility.

Fr. Peter and the parish priests are praying for all parishioners, residents, and first
responders who are affected by this incident.

UPDATE: 11:30pm – The County of Orange activated and staffed the Emergency Operations Center with County agency representatives at 1100 hours on May 22, 2026. The Public Information Hotline has been staffed and is ready to accept calls of inquiry in regard to the nature of emergency or disaster. The Public Information Hotline phone number is (714) 628-7085. All resources and support personnel have been identified and are on standby.

Residents and businesses inside the following perimeter must evacuate immediately: 

  • North of Trask Avenue
  • South of Ball Road
  • East of Valley View Street
  • West of Dale Street

  • Freedom Hall, 16801 Euclid St., Fountain Valley. (now full)  
  • Savanna High School, 301 N. Gilbert St., Anaheim
  • Kennedy High School, 8281 Walker St., La Palma (now full)
  • Ocean View High School, 17071 Gothard St., Huntington Beach

    Our parish office will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day. The office will reopen on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

    Priests’ Retreat Week schedule changes
    Monday, June 1:
    6:30 AM and 8:30 AM Masses only.  No evening Mass or Confession
    Tuesday, June 2 through Friday, June 5:
    8:30 AM Mass only
    Friday, June 5:
    There will be no Confession following the 8:30 AM Mass.  For sick calls, please contact any available retired priest.

    First Holy Communion Registration
    The Registration for First Holy Communion is now open. If your child is ready to begin preparation, please visit the Parish Front Office to pick up an application.

    OCIA Registration (Children & Adults)
    If you have a child over the age of 7 who is not baptized, or if you are an adult (18 or older) who has not received Baptism, First Communion, or Confirmation, registration for the OCIA program is now open. Applications are available in the Parish Front Office.

    Adoration to commemorate the 50th anniversary of our Diocese
    We joyfully invite you to join us for a special time of prayer as we together celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Diocese of Orange.  Adoration will begin on Friday, June 5, 2026, following the 6:30 PM Vietnamese Mass. At approximately 7:15 PM, the Blessed Sacrament will be processed to the Parish Hall, where we will begin 48 Hours of Adoration. Adoration will conclude on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 5:15 PM, with the reposition of the Blessed Sacrament from the Parish Hall back to the church.

    We encourage everyone to come and spend time in prayer during this meaningful occasion.

    Summer Camp Announcement 
    Get ready for an amazing week! Our Summer Camp is happening June 15th through June 19th, and it’s going to be packed with faith-filled fun, exciting games, and unforgettable memories for children in 1st through 6th grade—including two awesome field trips to the beach and Irvine Park! And teens—this is your moment! If you’re in 7th through 12th grade, we need you as volunteers. Come be part of something meaningful and fun—it’s your time to shine!

    You may continue to submit your pledge in support of our 2026 Pastoral Services Appeal (PSA) program. Pledge forms are available in the church lobby, or you may submit your pledge online through our parish website. Completed forms may also be dropped off at the parish office or placed in the collection baskets during Mass.
