2020: Perfect Vision with the Lord!
As 2019 comes to a close, (can you believe it, where did the year go?), I am once again grateful to Almighty God, and all of you, for all the wonderful blessings we all received here at St. Polycarp Parish. Some of our spiritual blessings this year include: weekly Bible studies, parish rosaries before Mass on weekdays and Sundays, Tuesday night catechesis classes by Fr. Luis, the frequent good use of the Sacrament of Confession (Reconciliation), our Consecration to Jesus through Mary, our Guadalupe novena, and last but certainly not least, Eucharistic Adoration. In addition, let’s not forget the ever- increasing number of students enrolled in our faith formation programs for which we are truly grateful to the Lord. I am also grateful for the generosity of several parishioners who made possible the purchase of Phase 2 of our stain glass window project, the new candelabra set used for Adoration, desert gardens, parking lot potted palm trees and so much more to come. It’s this display of stewardship (that is, the sharing of time talent and treasure) that speaks to the gratitude we all owe to the good Lord who blesses us every day. With the year 2020 arriving very soon, it is no secret that with all of us at St. Polycarp sharing in the same (2020) vision, so much more can be accomplished for our Lord. And as we all should know, the Lord will not be outdone in generosity. So my dear friends, all of us, not just some of us, are invited to prepare for 2020 vision next year and forever, because with the Lord Jesus, we all have perfect vision. See you in 2020…! God’s bountiful blessings always,
Fr. Michael St. Paul, Pastor
On the 22nd of each month we gather in prayer and praise before the Blessed Sacrament praying for an increase in
vocations. If the 22nd of the month falls on Saturday or Sunday, Adoration will be held on the following Monday.
Additional Adoration schedule is also every Friday, 9:30am to 6:00pm as well as Saturday, 3:30pm to 5:00pm.
The Family Support is in need of a volunteer to pick up the food donation from Monarch Food Bank located in Garden Grove at Monarch and Chapman. This volunteer will need to have a vehicle and be able to lift at least 30lbs. The time and day for this pickup is every Monday at 8:00am except holidays. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Ronda Riley, 714 890-5203 or email email@example.com
