​The Most Reverend Kevin W. Vann, J.C.D, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Orange, announces that Mr. Juan Ochoa, a member of Saint Polycarp Parish, is a candidate for ordination to the Sacred Order of Deacon on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove. The faithful of the Diocese of Orange are asked to pray for Juan Ochoa and all other deacon candidates who are being called by God to serve in the Church. At the same time, the faithful are obliged to reveal impediments to the Sacred Order of Deacon, if they know of any, by contacting Deacon Thomas Saenz, Director of the Office of the Permanent Diaconate or Fr. Viet Peter Ho, Pastor of St. Polycarp, no later than September 20, 2023.
