First Reconciliation and First Communion Prep

First Holy Communion or First Eucharist is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation. It is the Body and Blood of Jesus Himself and we will walk with you and your family to prepare for this special moment. Faith Formation is a life-long journey of discipleship for the entire family, not just for those enrolled in our program.
At St. Polycarp, children receive two years of sacramental preparation before receiving the Eucharist regardless of what age or grade level they enter into the program. Typically, children start the Eucharist program in 1st grade and receive their 1st Eucharist in the Spring of 2nd grade. Children must be enrolled in our Religious Education program in order to participate. |
La Primera Comunión es uno de los tres Sacramentos de Iniciación Cristina; es el momento cuando recibimos por primera vez el Cuerpo y la Sangre de Jesucristo. Caminaremos junto contigo y con tu familia en la preparación para este momento especial. La Formación en la Fe es un camino en la profundización de nuestro discipulado para toda la familia, no solo para aquellos inscritos en nuestro programa.
En San Policarpo, los niños reciben dos años de preparación sacramental antes de recibir la Eucaristía, independientemente de la edad que ingresen al programa. Por lo general, los niños comienzan su preparación para los sacramentos de Reconciliacióon y Eucaristía en el primer grado de primaria y reciben su Primera Comunión at terminar el segundo grado de primaria. |

FORMATION FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY We also offer resources and faith formation throughout the entire year designed to help parents strengthen their faith and actively participate in the faith life of the whole family. Through our program, we require parents to assist 8 sessions, but we hope that families will come all year to experience a deeper encounter with God and joyfully live out their mission in their families and in the world. |
FORMACIÓN PARA TODA LA FAMILIA También ofrecemos recursos y formación durante todo el año, diseñados para ayudar a los padres de familia a fortalecer su fe y participar activamente en la formación religiosa de toda la familia. A través de nuestro programa, señalamos 8 sesiones en las que todos los papas deben asisitir, pero esperamos que vengan todo el año para experimentar un encuentro más profundo con Dios y vivir con alegría su misión en sus familias y en el mundo. |
