St. Polycarp Church
Parish Advisory Council
Mission Statement:
As faith-filled members of St. Polycarp Catholic
Church, we have been chosen to come together to support our parish
communities and our pastor.
We will coordinate and conduct events and activities that will unite our
parish communities in one heart and mind.
The Advisory Council is consultative to
the pastor.
The parish advisory council is consultative in that the council
members cannot act apart from the pastor.
Decision-making in the Advisory Council is by consensus.
Listening, information-giving, conversation, exploring, and discerning
are the normal forms of exchange.
To have consensus each member must see something of merit or
reasonableness in the proposal -- something of value for the parish
community, the will of the Spirit.

These events will be carried out by the Vietnamese, Hispanic, Filipino
and Anglo communities.
